For some years, we used to be part of the St Peter’s Village History
Tour as the Cramp family – the first minister to preach in the
building that is now our Baptist Church. See
this picture to read more.
Anyway, those involved with the Village Tour people had a social evening and
some of us provided some entertainment.
My parents and I got ourselves dressed up as sand dancers, or in our case…
pepper dancers! We were parodying that well known old trio, Wilson, Kepple &
Betty – we called ourselves Wotsup, Ketchup and Letty Green!
Dad was a snake charmer (hence the sock puppet) and, somehow, they managed to
talk me into being the belly dancer – with coconut shells stuffed
down my shirt!
